Since the loss of long-time and beloved member Keith “Moose” Page in March of 2014, we have renamed our annual tournament in his honor and memory, and have dedicated this tournament to raising money for local charities.
In years past we have been able to donate to the Rutland City Unified Sports/ Special Olympics athletes, the Rutland County Women’s Network and Shelter, the Silver Towers Camp, and the Foley Cancer Center. In 2023 we were able to donate $3500 to the Silver Towers Camp, a camp for people with disabilities, ages six to seventy-five. This overnight camp is designed to provide opportunities with sports and social scenarios for people with both physical and mental challenges, and an experience that also allows them to gain independence and confidence. Moose worked with students with disabilities/special needs in both classroom and athletic settings, as well as worked at Silver Towers for many summers. He had a passion for athletics, children, and helping others, so as a club we are proud to carry on his legacy by supporting organizations he was involved with and groups he was dedicated to.
